The other day near Cadiz we met an interesting trilobite hunter. Jason came down off of the mountain and joined the Searchers at their Sat night potluck. He had some good stories to tell, and was certainly very knowledgable. He and his partner have leased a large piece of land near Delta Utah (home of the U-Dig fossil site), and are putting on a Trilobite extravaganza this summer. They have hunters coming from Asia and Europe as well as lecturers from some universities (and maybe the Smithsonian?). Even though I am not really a fossil person, this looks like a very interesting event, and I have made soft plans to attend. More info is at http://www.trilobitejam.com/
