First Rockhouding trip...

Hi fellow rock hounds,

Today was my first rock hounding trip with my Mamo, Dado and Auntie Pam. We had a wonderful time and found some pretty rocks. I put them in my pink kitty bag and when it would get full my Dado would dump them into my bucket.

I really like the blue ones. I had a great time, especially not having my brother there. I am already looking forward to my next trip. I hope Mamo and Dado will take me with them in January.

Christmas Pot Luck December 21, 2009

Last night the  NGMC had the annual Christmas Pot luck...contrary to most photos, the mood was very festive!  Awesome food and fantastic company!  Check your emails frequently for updates on Field Trips and other information you should know!!!

Monday Morning December 14, 2009

Good Morning!

I have talked to a few people who went on the field trip Saturday.  From all reports it was great.  I don't have any pictures or a 'report' to share.

Next Monday is the club's Christmas pot luck and short business meeting. The time to be there is 5 PM PACIFIC/CALIFORNIA time.  I think Ann said she wanted to have a board meeting half an hour earlier, so that means board members be there at 4:30 PST.

The main dish is ham, which the club is furnishing, kindness of Ramona.  Please bring a side dish to go with ham.  If you have any questions about the meal, call Faith 763-3511.

Also...there will be a Chinese Auction, so bring one small gift per person to share at the Auction.

Christmas Parade Dec 4...chilly!

Update! Olde Time Christmas Parage booth!

Don't forget the Olde Time Christmas parade and venders. Needle Gem and Mineral Club will have a booth set up and we'll be cutting geodes. Date for this is Saturday December 5, 2009. Booths open about 10 (Pacific Time).


Some updates here! Jim is sick so the club as a whole will be doing this event! I contacted the Chamber in Needles and they do not have booth assignments now, but plan to tell us Saturday morning our exact location. We are meeting at or near the Curves Parking Lot about 8 AM Pacific Time to get our location and set up. If you can help, or have rocks to donate, please call Sally 928-768-7437 or Bob 928-575-6844!
