Exciting things in store for Needles Gem and Mineral Club! We are opening a space at Fort Mohave Treasure Mall. We are selling items donated to the club to be sold to profit the club! Our first open day is Saturday January 28 and Sunday January 29. I will post photos as soon as we are set up on Friday afternoon. A money maker avenue for the club! Items we are selling are slabs donated by the late Corinne More and items from Jim Peterson. ALL proceeds go to the club. Let Sally, Ynez or Ronda know if you can   donate your time to work the booth. The mall is open 9-3 Saturday and 10-2 Sunday.

There’s been an addition to January 2023’s field trips. Here’s the info! J

 

Saturday January 21^st; Southern Newberry Mountains for Smokey Quartz points. Meet to leave at 9AM CA time at El Garces parking lot. 4WD, bring usual rock hound stuff. Mark Wetmore will lead.

 

Sunday January 29th. Raw Rock Creations on Route 66. Meet to leave 7:30am AZ time at the corner of Boundary Cone rd and rte 66 in the dirt lot. Jack, the owner, will lead the outing to his claim for Fire Agate. Donations are welcome to Jack for letting us to hound on his claim and there will be opportunity for shopping at his home base, so bring cash and your usual rock hound stuff.
