Public meetings are scheduled this week; Wednesday, at 29 Palms; Thursday at Victorville; and Friday at Ontario. Most off-roaders and environmentalists are opposed. Rockhounds should weigh in an opinion as well. I have encouraged our local club to form a public relations committee to provide information to club members and the community about issues affecting our hobby, most importantly, land closures. I am interested in what other clubs are doing.
